Captive Portal
A captive portal is a technique used to control access to wireless services. The basic technique is to 'capture' attempts to access the internet, and redirect them to a login screen. This allows users to be authenticated. The authentication process enables controlled access to the net for that user.
I decided to write my own because I wanted a full understanding of the technology. I also needed something to help secure my own wireless network. It is implemented in Python, runs on Linux, and is based on the NoCat design.
This is work in progress.
